Born and living in Victoria, BC Canada of a Canadian Mom and an Aussie Dad whose Grandfather's brother was Lord Torphichen of Sandilands. Our family seat is Calder House in Mid-Calder. I visited for first and only time in 2002, toured many places (sadly, we only had 4 days here) but had a great introduction to my Scottish roots ... to be continued one day when I retire ... |

I was born and raised in Seattle, and I've lived in the Pacific NW all my life. I did a bicycle tour of Scotland years ago, and a bit of bicycle travel there last summer. A great-grandfather of mine was among the people "cleared" from the village of Ramasaig on the Isle of Skye, and I've visited the ruins there. Breathtaking views, tumbled walls and sighing wind... wanted: friendship, laughter, honesty, wisdom.. on offer: friendship, laughter, honesty, opinionatedness Today I celebrate, and breathe a sigh of relief...hired, after months of searching! - see 7 comments |
