Alasdair M: Let them eat Cac member photos

from Harrapool in Isle of Skye in Scotland(also regularly in the Inverness area)

I've lived and worked in the Highlands all of my life and feel very privileged to be able to do so. I read the Private Eye, drive a diesel VW polo and I lust after Hymers and VW T-series campers from the 80's. I'll eat almost anything as long as it's been prepared with care and I'll call anyone friend if they'll do the same for me.

How do you put stuff in an intro that doesn't sound like you're either bragging,or being way too modest? I'm in southern Ohio, and I've become intensely interested in knowing more about Maclaine of Lochbuie. By nature,I'm genial(at least,I think I am),contemplative,bu t active,I do love cycling and walking the ridges and valleys of the Appalachian Foothills. My sense of humor is wry... wanted: friendship, chat.. on offer: friendship

Joyce S: A Sandilands in Canada via Australia photos

from the Saanich area in Canada

Born and living in Victoria, BC Canada, my dad's grandfather's brother was Lord Torphichen of Sandilands. Contrary to many statements on Internet, Sandilands is a Sept of the Douglas Clan and not a clan of its own. The Sandilands family seat is Calder House in Mid-Calder. I visited Scotland for a mere four days in 2002 and hope to return one day ... to be continued one day if I ever retire!!
