    I am really of the Stewart of Appin clan, but married a MacGillivray whos ancesters hailed from Colonsay . I came across this site when i was looking for the words of "The Greenock that was"I love all things Scottish, eg. dancing, reels and Strathspeys, tartans, views, the rivers and mountains.     I am a 60 y.o. Brooklyn, NY born female. I say "Misplaced Scotswoman" as I've always yearned for the homeland & felt I've missed something of myself. Grandaughter of proud Celt grandparents, both maternal & paternal. My paternal grandmother had many siblings as well as a may offspring of her own. We were culture as well as adopted country, where many were a heroes in their own right.
