In inquiring about this statement in my later years I found out that my family is from Scotland, well since I was a wee lad I've always wanted to come to Scotland!! Grandfather emigrated to Canada in 1907 and have traced Guilds back to 1437 as an Alexander Guild was in charge of the defenses of Stirling Castle at the time of James II. Family in Forfar/Dundee when and since Grandfather came to Canada. Of Clan Stirling and proud to wear the District Tartan Stirling Bannockburn for my Kilt.

    Several lines of my family were from Scotland: McAlpin, Spruiell, Carmichael, and others. I visited Scotland in 1985, 1988, and 1992. Hope to get there again and would love to live there for a while someday.
