My 7x Great Grandfather is David Hamilton Wemyss of Fife. Maternal side is both MacQueen (Swann) and Forbes (Forbush). Recently I have become interested in my Scots heritage. Visited Scotland for two weeks in Sept 09 to explore family history and the castles, Wemyss, MacDuff and Elcho. I will be back this year too! My Coo is named after David's Sister who immigrated here to Maryland in 1715 with brothers James and David.

Today I think, if you want your cake and eat it too -- better start with two pieces! - see 6 comments

    Jim D: Jim Duff photos

from the Stanford area in United States

I grew up playing music in the hills of Waynesburg Kentucky. My music is a new, original take on the blues, rock-n-roll, and country sounds of the past. My dedication to music and writing started soon after I picked up the guitar at twelve years old. Over the years I have taught myself to play the piano, mandolin and drums. I share the soul and passion of the people who have influenced me... wanted: friends.. on offer: friendship, music

Today I am packing up and moving to Kentucky.

Laurie W: Curious, creative and artistic photos (NEW)

from the Barrie area in Canada

I have two second cousins, and now my sister, doing geneological research. I am a first-generation Canadian - and feel most kinship to the MacDuffs, (maternal grandmother's people) who are writers, storytellers and politicians. Still, the whole array of clans fascinates me - MacKays, and on the other side, the Barclays, Andersons.
