My paternal great-grandparents were Scottish, and I enjoy all things Scottish (even haggis!) I even went to a high school whose mascot was "The Highlanders". In 2003, my parents and I toured Scotland, and I hope to take my own daughters there one day.

Today I am glad to see the end of the week.

I'm a second-generation Scot in the U.S. My maternal grandfather was a Henderson whose father and generations before him were weavers in Ayrshire and then Paisley. My maternal grandmother was a Beattie from Paisley, whose family came from Montrose before that. My grandparents emigrated to New Jersey in 1909 and 1911. Also, Bains, Bairds and Jacks in the family tree. I'm the webmaster for the Scottish Society of San Antonio, Texas.

the stuff I enjoy pretty much describes me; the only other things I could add are that I am a Christian, with conservative political views, I am a Music Therapist, and I am still trying to adjust to being a widow, which I add because that fact very much describes me right now.
