I'm a bookseller (used and out of print) living in the wilds of Northwestern Ontario, Canada. My ancestors were cleared in the Kildonan, Sutherland evictions of 1815, and from Mull (1812); and Skye (via Glenelg, Inverness-shire, 1802). I am the genealogist for The Lord Selkirk Association of Rupert's Land, a society preserving the history of the first, mostly Scottish, agricultural colony (Red River Settlement 1812) in Manitoba... wanted: friendship.. on offer: friendship Today I harvested some red clover for tea this winter. Now at work in the bookshop! - see 7 comments |

My name is Carrie Duc-Vegso. I am 53-years-old this month! I am married to a great guy named Bob aged 40, and we travel together as he is a long-distance big-rig driver. My ancestress Margaret Anderson married Thomas Pratley from Oxfordshire on 19 May 1815 in Glasgow, Scotland. He was there serving with the 71st Regiment. I'm looking for her ancestry but when I sent for their marriage information, I received only the information above. Can you help me in any way. Thanks so much, Carrie Duc-Vegso in Quebec, Canada. Today I am seeking Anderson ancestors... - see 2 comments |

Currently, I'm a bit of a vagabond/student. I love painting and drawing with charcoals. I also love music. Growing up on a farm gave me a great love for the outdoors and God's amazing creation although I don't get out into it enough.
