    Hi,
I am looking to get a phrase translated into Scottish Gaelic - anyone out there able to help me?
The phrase I'm after is: "Life is what you make it"
I have managed to translate word for word but would love to get someone who speak the language to translate it for me - with the correct grammer etc.
    Thanks!
    Phillip

I would say "Is am beatha na tha thu a' deanamh dhi.", but bear in mind that I am not a native speaker. The Gaelic speaking culture has a vast inventory of sayings and proverbs, which are poorly documented; A native speaker might produce something that would express the idea very differently.
