"for those of us who are a bit older - Francie or Josie?"
LOL OK OK I'm old, but obviously too old to know who these two are - please, enlighten this Old Foggy, you Young Whippersnapper.
Alysen:
Hmmm, I didn't know you could embed videos in the forum. They are "The late Jack Milroy ( francie) and Ricki Fulton ( josie) sing the la di da song from Glasgow's Kings theatre "
LOL I ain't voting on either one! I don't know which is which. This is the first I've seen them, or heard that song before! Funny tho.
You MUST watch more Ricky Fulton: http://bit.ly/8HePK8
Ricky Fulton is Josie and Jack Miroy is Francie. two of Scotland's great Comedians. also acted in Pantomines
I also loved Ricky Fulton as " Rev. I am Jolly," always on TV at Ne'erday,
Awe that la de da de de took me back to an era where humour was dry and times were hard lol!! Very funny and very Scottish! Absolutely no offence to anyone who is English here but it's great to be 'home' where folks 'get it'
I first saw Rickie Fulton in person in 1950 when I was an apprentice with Rossleigh Ltd. He was taking delivery of one of the first two Landrovers that came to Scotland. The garage was awash with many 'clever' one-liners like 'if it breks doon thingmy ringmy'. (The other Landrover was taken by Tommy Wallker who was Hearts manager after playing with Chelsea since the 30's.)
