I think it's just missing a "T" because people pronounce it "Daught - tree" or is the "gh" pronounce as a "T"? Great, now my brain is trying to remember English class :)

If Draught is pronounced "drawt" as in Draught Beer

Then Daughtry should be dawt-ree.

People say "dawt-tree" though, so his name should be "Daughttry"

Maybe we should just call him Chris D : ) I like him though by the way. :)

First of all, his people messed it up long ago, it was phoenetically (not like this word i just killd) spelled when his peeps came over.
Ought to be using lots of those good irish celtic letters, but at the very least "dough" and the gh is prounounced gutterly almost like duck and then it is ERTY rather than TERY. That's what the father of my children says, his name, I'm just repeating what his peeps had told him and what he told me.
It was hard enough to get a correct pronunciation before this guy got famous, now they think I am wrong.....I dont do well with being wrong. ;-) LOL
