Education in Scotland
from Vasil T: To generalize is to be an idiot. W.Blake (vashiru) photos on Sun 27/09/09 11:33

Guys, I am really eager to study in this beautiful country. I am perticularly interested in Master degrees. I hear that the eductaion in Scotland is free but when I check the university pages there are fees( quite big ones). Does anyone know anything in perticular.

Much appreciated!

It's not free for everyone, it is free for Scottish citizens.

It all depends on your status. Technically there are fees for education.

The SAAS pays the fees for any student born in Scotland and I think they will pay for students born outside Scotland but have been living here for 3 years or more.

There is other criteria that must be met for any students from within the EU.

I haven't read much about that though. I was fortunate enough to be born here.

Check out the SAAS site.
