Well here it is! A chance for you all to meet one another on the weekend of The Gathering... when there will be a lot of overseas Scotsters in town, so don't miss this chance to shake their hands, buy them a pint...or hug them if that's your thing ;)

EDINBURGH ON SUNDAY! -- Scotster's Summer Gathering
In the nine months since we launched Scotster it has evolved into the unique, engaging and friendly site that we all know and love.......and which some of you appear to be addicted to (go on, admit it!). We're REALLY pleased with how it has taken off and how you've all contributed to it, but best of all, its reach has extended beyond the internet and has seen numerous social events arranged all over the world. This is all thanks to YOU and we want to celebrate it! So how fitting that this event will take place in Scotland's capital, when so many Scotsters from both near and far will be in town to celebrate this great country :)
This will without doubt be Scotster's biggest social event to date and we've booked the whole upstairs section of The Wash (details below).......
.....it's an Edinburgh pub slap-bang in the centre of town, next door to the castle, just off the Royal Mile and with a view spanning the whole of Princes Street! Not bad eh? And we have it all night! WITH OUR VERY OWN BAR!!
So come along for a grand night out and meet all those familiar faces from far-off lands who will, for this one night only, be in the same place at the same time! Who knows when we'll get the opportunity to do this again? Too good an opportunity to pass up if you ask me ;)
The evening starts at 6pm - food is available to buy in the bar until 7pm - and we've exclusive use of the upstairs bar until 1am!

Meeting place
Situated on The Mound in the heart of Edinburgh's old town, in the shadows of Edinburgh Castle, the independently owned Wash Bar is the fantastic venue for the Scotster Summer Gathering! We've got the upstairs area with dedicated bar staff :) See http://www.washbar.co.uk for more about the venue.

Woo! Looks like it's gonna be a fantastic Scotster Gathering :) We'll get more promo out for this nearer the time but great to see so many people marking themselves as 'definite' already. Jason thank you for the invitation and believe me if there was any way possible I would be there. It has been over ten years sense I have been home! I wish all my brothers and sisters a grand and wonderful time and tip a few for me!

Was hoping to catch up with some fellow "scotsters" while at the Gathering.. any Clan Donnachaidh members? I will also be in Pitlochry for the AGM earlier in the week. Looking forward to a great time!

I will be busy looking after my guests in the b&b so I cant make it .. but I am looking forward to having some fellow Scotsters to stay soon .... I hope they love the Isle of Skye as much as I do
